Here’s what you can expect from us during the interview process:

Submit Your Resume and Intro Video

You begin your hiring journey by submitting your resume (or LinkedIn Profile URL) and an intro video via our 3rd party applicant tool.

The First Interview

Your initial interview will be conducted with the hiring manager via video conference call. During this conversation, we want to know who you are, what you’ve done in your career—and most importantly—where you want to go and what you can bring to the table.

A Skills and Culture Assessment

At this stage of the process, you are invited to complete a Skills and Culture Assessment. After all, if you want to join the band, we need to know: can you play the instrument?

Team Interview

Next, you’ll meet with other members of the Proofpoint team virtually over a video call. We also ask candidates to submit a list of references at this point.

An Offer is Made!

If everything checks out, then an offer is extended! A letter outlining the role, salary, and other requirements will be sent for your signature.

Embrace the
Virtual Experience
As a remote company, our interactions and communication with you will almost always be virtual, and this begins with our hiring process. However, just because we are meeting virtually, doesn’t mean you can’t make the most of your surroundings. When it comes to video calls, consider how you present yourself, the lighting, sound quality, and overall video quality.
Come Prepared
Make sure you do your research ahead of time and come ready to not only answer our questions, but be prepared to ask us questions, too! We’re an open book, so feel free to ask whatever you need to know to make the best decision for you.
Be Yourself
Whether it’s during a live interview or in the content you create during the assessment, don’t be afraid to show us your personality. We want to know and embrace the real you!
Follow-Through is Important
In a sea of candidates and resumes, how do you want to stand out? What can you do to show us you're the obvious choice? The quickest and easiest thing to do? Send a follow-up. Be communicative. If you're moving in a different direction or no longer want to go through the hiring process, just let us know. We promise transparency through out the process, please show us the same courtesy.
