Provide a brief bio/overview of your professional career:

I am a digital marketing expert with five years of professional experience. I graduated summa cum laude from St. Cloud State University with degrees in Marketing & Finance. I have experience in developing, implementing, and optimizing multi-channel digital marketing strategies and media plans.

What’s the last book you read?

I’m currently reading Little Girl Gone by Gerry Schmitt

What are you currently watching on Netflix (or other streaming service)?

I’m currently obsessed with the Olympics (Simone Biles, Suni Lee, Allyson Felix, Katie Ledecky, etc.)

If you could visit anywhere in the world you’ve never been, where would you go and why?

Alaska. I would like to “try out” the Alaskan Bush People lifestyle.

Who inspires you?

I think Simone Biles is an inspiration. As a legendary gymnast, she has been able to transcend the world of gymnastics and use her voice to better the world. From surviving sexual abuse and then withdrawing from events during the Olympics to focus on her mental health, Simone Biles sets a positive example of what is achievable when you can overcome hardships.

Three words to best describe you are:

Enthusiastic, Supportive, Detail-Oriented.

How has remote working impacted you professionally and personally?

I have become more organized and thoughtful about my schedule, and I no longer have commute-related stress. I have also learned that I thrive best in environments where my role and its value to the organization is clear and that meetings should have clear agendas and action items to keep projects moving forward.

What’s the coolest (or most important) trend you see today in digital marketing?

The most important trend that marketers today need to solve is the deprecation of cookie-based tracking. Historically, I have relied on pixels to track conversion events, but as GDPR & opt-in to tracking have taken effect, I have seen a decline in the number of tracked events. As that has been a primary way to gauge the success of marketing efforts, I’m curious to learn how technologies evolve to solve this.

What’s your favorite movie?

The Twilight Saga

Before joining us at Proofpoint Marketing, what was the best, most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?

I thoroughly enjoyed working at the Mann Theater in Plymouth. I was able to see movies for free & enjoy endless supply of popcorn.

Do you have a favorite podcast, blog and/or online influencer? Tell us why you follow them.

I love the Crime Junkies podcast as it’s in the true crime genre & the hosts are very good story tellers.

What’s your favorite thing to drink and snack on while working?

I love drinking coffee while working to keep me energized throughout the day.

What did you want to be when growing up?

The president of the world.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I really enjoy reading books & gardening.

What genre of music or artist do you listen to while cranking on a project at work?

Classical music since there aren’t any lyrics that distract me while I’m working on a project.

What was one experience in your life (either personal or professional) that made you a stronger person?

I had a terrible presentation in the 8th grade on the writer Ernest Hemmingway. I had to present in front of the class & I did a terrible job because I hadn’t prepared anything in advance. Since that time, I have learned the benefits of preparing for meetings and presentations in advance.

If you could meet anyone, living or dead, who would you meet and why?

I would have liked to meet Cleopatra since she is one of the most famous Egyptian rulers. Her life was full of intrigue, and her influence on Egypt, Rome has stood the test of time.

Favorite meal, type of cuisine or restaurant?

I really enjoy eating Oreo cookies.

Share with us the best piece of professional advice you’ve ever been given:

“You can lead a horse to water but you can’t make him drink.”

What’s the most important lesson you’ve learned in the last five years?

One of the most important lessons I’ve learned is that only those who know how to adapt survive. The world is ever-changing so what worked yesterday may no longer work tomorrow.

Last one: Share with us something currently on your bucket list!

I would like to visit the Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Park.
